Understanding Level 6

Level 6 is a California Regional Center residential service designation for individuals who need a higher level of support in daily life. Support needs can vary and may include personal care, mobility, supervision, communication, structured routines, skill development, or behavioral support. Placement suitability is reviewed individually.

Areas of Support

Depending on the individual and approved program plan, residents may need substantial assistance in one or more areas of daily life.

  • Activities of daily living and personal care
  • Mobility and physical assistance
  • Supervision and structured routines
  • Communication support
  • Medication support
  • Positive behavioral support
  • Community participation and recreation

How We Approach Support

Individuals with behavioral challenges may be considered when their needs can be safely and effectively supported through appropriate staffing, structure, positive behavioral supports, and an individualized plan.

Every referral is reviewed individually. We consider both the referred person’s needs and compatibility with the other residents and the overall home environment.
